Sodiumland is a planet in the Andoog system. Sodiumlands terrain is filled with many islands made of a 100% salt rock ground. The seas are 60% water and 40% of a different type of salt called forallis salt, which causes foam to rise at the top of the sea. There is zero fresh water on this planet. Islands had many salt mountains, but they were mined by the xeno-salt deposit miners for the salt inside, and they turned into salt volcanos, which erupt almost every day because the mining disturbs the xeno-salt inside which causes it to explode, and unfortunately causes a lot of deaths from exploding xeno-salt. Once all the xeno-salt inside the newly formed volcano is mined, it will form back slowly until it is a full mountain again ready to be harvested. Most islands are only about 3 miles long and wide, but there are some that are much longer. There are usually 2 mountain/volcanos on every island.

Sodiumland natives are called salt Jibs, and they do not care if the deposit miners mine the mountains because the salt Jibs stay far away from the mountains. Salt Jibs specialise in farming the foam that comes from the forallis salt because it can be boiled and turned into freshwater for them to drink. Salt Jibs cannot drink the saltwater under any circumstance, as it is likely to cause infection and their immune systems are very weak. Salt Jibs also do not go swimming without proper gear. Most of them do not fish for food because it is very risky to eat any fish from the sea, because any fish that lives under 50 feet is not safe to eat. Thankfully, scientists have developed a way for them to measure the salt content in the fish and determine if it’s safe to eat, but a lot of islands do not have access to this technology because shipping things on Sodiumland can only be done by boat, of which there is not many.

Shipping anything in Sodiumland is a hassle because it is expensive, but some methods have been invented to make it easier. Scientists have made some robots to float across the water while holding boxes of goodies. It is possible for one robot to hold 50 packages at a time because the high salt content water makes it easier for the robots to simply glide across the water. One drawback is that this method is still slow.

The seas are very unexplored, and there is only 0.7% of the oceans explored because nobody wants to go down into the depths, or even the shallow for that matter. Under 15,000 feet lurks many insane creatures that have grown to abnormal sizes due to high salt concentration. Some studies from animals that washed up from these depths showed that they were over 43 ft. long from an animal that is usually only 7 ft. long. (This animal is called a Jiano.)

The salt Jibs like to eat the tropical Firani fruit because of how sweet it is. You can also make a nice juice out of it if you don’t want to harvest foam for water. Otherwise, the only other thing that salt Jibs eat are fish and Potaboj, which are known for their yummy meat.
